Lunar bloom bandana & Altar cloth | Cream(Natural) + Sienna

$25.00

This piece was designed in reverence to the moon, and the fungi and lichens the lunar cycle propagates. As the moon affects Earth's water and tides, so the fungi( many consisting mostly of water) swell and fade with precipitation and the moon's pull. I often find that mushrooms appear to "magically bloom" overnight, and they often feel like secret nocturnal creatures to me.

The bandana can be worn however you choose, and can also be used as an altar cloth or hung as a tapestry.

Featured in the design are:
Lungwort Lichen ~ Lobaria pulmonaria
Turkey tail ~ Trametes versicolor
Spore print
Mycelium
Fairy ring lepiota ~ Chlorophyllum molybdites
Ghost pipe ~ Monotropa uniflora

I used the motif of the number 4 within this design to echo the moon's 4 main phases:4 spore prints, 4 turkey tail variations, and 4 stems of ghost pipe within each of the corners.
